Heckbert Construction is committed to advancing sustainable residential construction through thoughtful design, proven building science, and careful material selection. Our portfolio includes high-performance homes built with double-wall assemblies that significantly improve insulation, airtightness, and long-term durability, and we were the first builder on Prince Edward Island to install solar shingles on a residential project.

We are currently leading the construction of what is intended to be the first Net Zero and Zero Carbon home in North America—a project that goes beyond reducing operational energy use to address embodied carbon throughout the entire building lifecycle. From structure and materials to mechanical systems and on-site energy generation, the goal is to ensure that, over its lifespan, the home produces as much energy as was required to build, maintain, and operate it.
